Can CBD Cure Coronavirus?

COVID-19, or Coronavirus is new, scary, and stressing people out. There is a ton of information out there, so let’s get one thing out of the way real quick:

There is no peer-reviewed study showing that CBD can cure coronavirus.

While we wish it could, we also believe really strongly in sharing accurate, peer-reviewed science with you.

We are continuously in awe at the positive effects of cannabinoids. And we’re constantly searching for peer-reviewed research to share as one of our missions at Holden Farms is to dispel myths around CBD.

Coronavirus is an interesting one, though. Because research is happening at lightning speed, and all research on CBD has to be approved before it’s tested, there is nothing connecting the two.

Here’s what we DO know:

CBD is shown in early research to potentially help with anxiety, inflammation, and sleep. So if the stress of Coronavirus is causing you more problems than the virus itself, CBD may be right for you.

But CBD won’t cure coronavirus.

If you have questions about Coronavirus, we encourage you to seek out reliable sources like the WHO, the CDC, and your local health departments.
