Cannabidiol, or CBD, is anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and antipsychotic – but can CBD improve your sex life, too?

While there’s not been much study around CBD and sex, early evidence points to yes.

The Endocannabinoid System is designed to keep everything in your body functioning properly. Endocannabinoid receptors are found all throughout your body, and help almost every system in your body.

CBD strengthens the endocannabinoid system, which in turn helps your sexual systems run smoother.

Will CBD lower my sex drive?

Perhaps. One study looked at chronic marijuana use and discovered a lower libido over time. (Note this study was about cannabis, which contains many cannabinoids, including CBD, THC, CBG, and others.)

That’s just one study, though. Most other studies show the opposite – CBD can be helpful in improving libido.

Will CBD improve my sex drive?

CBD helps lower anxiety, which can be helpful if anxiety is the cause of your lower libido.

It can also increase sensitivity to touch and increase overall (and climactic) pleasure. (source)

Should I try CBD to help my sex life?

It’s really up to you.

Anecdotal evidence shows that most people experienced sexual benefits from using cannabis related products before (or during) sex.

If you decide you’d like to try CBD to improve your sexual experience, here’s a few products we recommend:
